Strathalbyn LUNCH STOP & town STAGE
SATURDAY 10 NOVEMBER 10:30am - 3pm

The Shannons Adelaide Rally comes to the heart of Strathalbyn with the Shannons Adelaide Rally Strathalbyn Lunch Stop and Town Stage.

The Strathalbyn Lunch Stop offers spectators plenty of close up viewing as the field make their way through the historic township. Beginning on Albyn Street, the cars stop in the Soldiers Memorial Gardens before crossing the bridge over the Angas River to take on the town streets for a new stage to the Shannons Adelaide Rally.

The stage starts on Catherine Street, turning onto Donald Street and Rankine Street before Sunter Street, crossing the St. Andrews Bridge before the stage finish.

Spectator points will feature across the stage for the free community event. Spectators have plenty of options for food and drink from local traders. And there's plenty in town to see and enjoy, including Collectable Classics and the Gilbert Motor Museum, plus you can browse the antique shops on High Street or explore the nearby Langhorne Creek wine region.

The event will be held alongside Strathalbyn’s Great Duck Race in the Soldiers Memorial Garden. The Strathalbyn Rotary Club started the Great Duck Race in 1990, with raffle tickets sold matching up with the number on the bottom of a rubber duck that races down the river. To purchase a raffle ticket, see the poster below. Funds raised by the Great Duck Race are spent in the local community.
