FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I really need a navigator?
Yes. All vehicles must always have a driver and navigator in the vehicle at all times. No more than two people are permitted to be in the vehicle.
Do I need a Motorsport Australia Licence?
Yes. All event participants must have a valid Motorsport Australia licence. If you are entering the Prima Tour, a Branded Tour or the Main Tour and do not have a Motorsport Australia licence, one can be purchased as part of the entry process. Note that this is different to a AASA licence that some people may have.
Do I need a roll cage in my car?
Prima Tour, the Branded Tours and the Main Tour entries do not need a roll cage. Spirit Tour entered vehicles do not require a roll cage if the car is manufactured after January 1986. Challenge, Competition and Rally Pro cars require roll cages as per the Supplementary Regulations HERE.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Prima Tour, the Branded Tours and the Main Tour entrants do not need to wear a helmet. Spirit Tour, Challenge, Competition and Rally Pro entrants must wear a compliant helmet on closed road stages in line with the Supplementary Regulations HERE.
What do I need to enter Prima Tour?
Prima Tour entries do not need a roll cage, nor a fire extinguisher, nor hazard triangles. Road registered vehicles with compliant seat belts are eligible. Entrants need to wear neck-to-wrist-to-ankle clothing (non-flammable) with closed-in shoes.
Are there speeding fines?
For Prima Tour, the Branded Tours, Main Tour and Spirit Tour fines may be applied for speeding. These fines are scaled based on the severity and occurrence of the speeding. Removal from the event may occur if the speeding event is significant or multiple speeding occurrences take place. The Supplementary Regulations detail the fine value and process HERE.
What are the costs and refund policy?
The entry fees for each category are listed HERE. The refund policy is detailed in point 1.6 in the Supplementary Regulations HERE.
What do I need to do if I must change my entered vehicle?
Contact event organisers to advise of the change of vehicle at entries@adelaiderally.com.au. It is possible to change a vehicle pre-event.
What are some of the requirements that need to be met to enter the Competition category?
Vehicle compliance (check the Supplementary Regulations HERE for further details).
