Each year the Shannons Adelaide Rally gathers an army of more than 350 volunteer officials who keep the event running smoothly. Officials get an insider’s perspective of one of the largest tarmac rally events in the world. See the action up close and play a vital role in this iconic event, with opportunities to progress as a motorsport official. We’ll provide training and accreditation, plus all volunteers get goodie bags including an event t-shirt and more - see below.
INCENTIVES FOR 2026 VOLUNTEERS!
The Adelaide Rally is rolling out its volunteer incentive package for this year’s event. Sign up to be part of the biggest pool of people at this major event and receive the following incentives:
All volunteers: Goodie bag including 2026 Adelaide Rally shirts, cap, souvenir cap-pins and Bowden's car care products.
Two days or more: Adelaide Rally power banks.
Three days: $50 Drakes Supermarkets voucher.
Stage commander: Adelaide Rally 2026 commemorative stage commander jacket and cash contribution (email for more information).
Interstate or international: Contact us for accommodation contributions.
Best stage award: Members of the stage will all be given two tickets to the Sunday of the 2027 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival - best stage award to be chosen by the course car representatives.
Are you part of a rotary club, charity, sporting club or the like? We want to hear from you, as we have special programs for groups of people wishing to volunteer together at the event.
We need people for roles including:
Road Closure Official
A super important role. Most popular. Keep the road closed, keep everyone safe – great spectating!. You will be issued a radio and instructed on how to use it. Ideally get a friend to sign up with you and enjoy the event together.
Control Official
Another key role. Get cars into right order, release at intervals as directed – see cars up very close, meet people, be part of a team of people.
Spectator Marshall
Set up an area as instructed, keep spectators safe, answer questions, hand out information – cool viewing positions, you can also choose to do this with friends.
Parking Marshall
Assist at street parties, lunch breaks and the like by keeping the competitor cars correctly parked. Great party atmosphere and working as a team.
Service Park
Work directly with the competitors, ensure an orderly area and start for the event to work well in the morning – great access to cars and people. Awesome vibe.
