SHANNONS ADELAIDE RALLY ROAD CLOSURES
Roads selected for the Shannons Adelaide Rally are chosen to minimise inconvenience for residents and local businesses, while delivering a world class event that attracts top teams to South Australia. Over recent years we have refined our procedures in order to substantially reduce the time required for road closures, even as the field has grown to record levels. We are grateful to the affected communities for their ongoing support for the event.
Adelaide Rally road closures for each day are shown on the interactive maps below – click to zoom in and see each stage in detail. Click on the highlighted stages to see their names. Clicking the expand button in the top right corner above each map will open a full sized map for ease of navigation. Please note that road closure times may vary if there are delays on-event and scheduled reopening times may be delayed. Never enter a closed road stage regardless of published closure times – Wait until the road is officially opened by way of 1. Tape is removed by officials and 2. Police reopen the road to normal traffic.
There can sometimes be long gaps between vehicles – this does not mean it is safe to enter the closed road. Never enter a closed road stage, under any circumstances. Members of the public are not permitted to remove road closure signage, bollards or tape. SA Police close the roads for the Adelaide Rally under Section 33 of the Road Closure act. Failure to follow a police directive may result in prosecution.
